Introduction
It is a wonderful world. It’s a bright and happy life.

Ah, everything is decorated beautifully with flowers.
Everything that Virojana Buddha has created is clean and pure…

This is what Buddha first said after being enlightened.

The Buddha’s teachings purifies our bodies and minds in this material world.
The Buddha’s merciful way gives us peace and unites us through compassionate food.
The name Guemsuam is derived from the expression “Guemsugangsan” (“Wonderful Mountains and Rivers”)and it was named by Venerable Ilta. I have lived in Guemsuam for the past 25 years.
Here at Guemsuam, you will find aged fermented foods in earthen vessels and seasonal foods with various colors, textures and flavors.
Many cancer patients and people suffering from atophy have come and been cured. There is a medicine for every disease.
However, if you cannot get rid of your toxic habits and desires of your mind, we lose sense of ourselves.
Here at Guemsuam, we get to learn how we can purify ourselves from our toxic behaviors.
Aren’t you curious of how we can live without sadness, heartbreak, suffering and pain?
This has to start from within us.
We need to practice becoming more mindful and learn how to change our way of thinking.
Guemsuam is a sanctuary for uniting our minds with our inner nature and finding harmony with all that is.
